Oh it will be a cobble, but I'm ok with that. Searched around the yard and found a old propane tank. Drained off the last of the propane... and then today I decided to get started on this.
I usually have a little anxiety when lighting a acetylene torch and gonna chop into a propane tank. It always smells like you are gonna blow yourself to kingdom come.IMG-0433.jpg

Nice I made one last year for ice fishing never got out to use it though unfortunately

How it burn with that secondary air injection? Been considering adding a tube to my current furnace. I've read good things, but never actually asked anyone....

Air compressor is just a honking big 80 gallon tank, plain old Sanborn style compressor on it. It is kind of loud, but makes air. I wonder if I paid extra to get the fancy DeWalt paint job?
U&A, you are a fantastic stove builder!
I am a rank amateur when it comes to fabrication. I can stick two pieces of metal together...

It worked great. Sucks the air in perfectly

It held a piece of paper sucked to the bottom of the tube from incoming air

Been a welder only my whole life. Jist recently changed carriers and am now working a cannabis farm. It’s legal in Michigan now.

Ok, It is completed. Untested... but completed.
Gawd I had forgotten how much fun it is to just "create" :dancing:
Air dial worked out pretty nicely, only a little tweakage to get it to close flat. Not a lotta measuring on this, just eyeballing it out. Function over form.
I will burn the thing, and then, maybe... black the thing. but on the other hand... just leave it?
This is going into the Chainsaw Sharpening Shed !!! remember that thread?IMG-0436.jpgIMG-0437.jpgIMG-0438.jpgIMG-0439.jpg
