I'd like to try one of the c85 chains but can't seem to find a vendor that has them. Any suggestions.

C85 is a new 3/8 saw chain with 1,5 mm gauge and manufactured in the X-cut factory in Husqvarna, Sweden. A special sign of the C85 is the golden tie strap which helps out when sharpening the chain. It is a full chisel chain and a 5,5 mm round file should be used when sharpening the chain. The new saw chain will be released in february 2018.

The gold strap is the link you start sharpening on, and when you get all the way around the loop you’ll see the gold link again and know you’re done.

It is a proprietary Husqvarna steel. Supposedly out of the box grind is very good, and it is faster than their old chain and Oregon chain. However, i’m not sure if it is faster after hand filing.

I’d like to try some too.
