Hi everyone!
just wondering if anyone knows what kind of tree is this?

Geographical location: Fairfield, Solano - California - USA

It is undoubtedly an oak and more specifically in the white oak group. That being said I am unsure what its specific epithet is. Best way to identify any type of oak is by its fruit (acorn of some sort) and its cluster of terminal buds. On an oak the buds at the very end of a twig will be clustered rather than a single bud. For reference an oak twig is the first photo with three terminal buds and the second photo shows a black cherry with a single terminal bud. Sharing a picture of a single leaf close up may help better identify the tree since many oak leaves look similar.
