Carburetor good or bad?

Here are some pictures of what I was talking about, you can see the glue/adhesive or whatever is where the 2 halves come together. If I can put it together by hand, the vibration will surely separate it again.

Almost looks like they were trying to braise it but forgot the brass and just ran the flux?
 
Fixed the muffler, I didn’t put it back together properly originally. The two muffler stakes inside that the bolts go through to bolt to cylinder had to go through their holes in the front half. This exposed them 1/8” which I cut slots in and then folded them down tight against the muffler to secure both halfs together. This completed the last 61 with carb issues. All are running well now.
