I currently have a 9,000lb excavator. I've had it about a year and a half and it has changed the game for the way we do big tree jobs, but it's not quite big enough. Now with the Northern California fires I'm thinking of buying a machine that can run a masticator.
Cat makes a masticator head specifically for their 308 class machine. Anyone have any thoughts on their masticator. It looks like it's plug and play and can be quickly disconnected to put on a bucket or other attachments. I like that it's engineered by Cat for that machine rather than buying a third party head and hoping for the best with performance. I've just never really seen one in action, the video looks promising.
