I’m continuing my porting adventure on the CP 55. Finished one and I want to try version #2.

Looking for really nice shape cosmetically..... ie bright clean plastics. Not sun faded- even with a bad top end as I have no use for an open port cylinder. I have several CP cylinders. Saw will be completely gone through and then build with a few changes to port time that I used on the first go round. Please PM me a price shipped to 83616.
And for the curious and bored minds..... here is version #1 :) 20” 3/8, .50 FC chain

I would also buy any CP cylinders, and especially OEM closed port pistons (the windowed piston).if you are more the horse trading type I’ve got lots of 181/281/288 stuff..... a few 390 parts, 394 parts.... 372 parts..... lots of cylinders for huskies.... an 064 fuel tank..... and likely other saw stuff in boxes

No problem. I’ll hang on to it. Put the piston in it and sleezebay it. For $175 with a new piston. Why do I feel I heard this conversation before?. Hhhmmmmm.

So you want new in box? Bill's saw looks like it would clean up nicely.

you think the only way I find one w nicer plastics is new in box? That’s a solid saw- I’m looking for something w brighter plastics... I’ve got a few 55 saws in similar condition..... and his price is fine. Just not what I’m looking for.

I apologize if my original add didn’t specify my search criteria well enough- I’ve added the dreaded “mint” word if that helps. Looking for bright clean plastics.
Your price wasn’t an issue- even without the HYWY piston.... which would go straight into my round file lol.
I’m not looking for a “deal”..... just 55 that is In really good shape cosmetically. I’ll pay a fair price for such a saw. IE $200+

For reference this is the current saws condition- much like the one bill posted. Looking for a lipstick upgrade. 86BE4B87-4CB6-48A1-81B5-5F06BC349A94.jpeg

Ok I’ll pull my offer. You want a mint running 55 rancher for $200. I didn’t know if the saw needs a piston, I never looked at it. It ran when I purchased it.

Finally. A guy who handles his saw and his feet with a graceful ease.
There's far more vids Posted all over by those who are the other way.

I hate it when I see a guy stumbling around with a running saw in his hands.

bill I never said $200 did I? No offense was meant- I ended up paying 300 for a mint CP all OEM saw..... I really do appreciate your offer. Solid saw and a fair price on your end! These 55’s are more a sentimental toy for me..... thus wanting a cream puff for my final build :)
