We just bought a house today and it used to have a wood stove in it. We plan to put one back in it. The old one needs new door glass and a good external cleaning. Can door glass be reinstalled? And can the outside be painted with a high heat enamel?

Yes they make ceramic glass and is replaceable and they make stove paint I've only seen it in like a semi gloss black though

Perfect. If we can clean it up it will save us $800. We even got some brand new triple wall pipe with it. We just need to purchase a tile platform to set it on.

You can make a platform for less than half the cost of buying a preconstructed one. I just went through this process and it’s not hard, you do have to have a few hand tools for the cutting.
Cement backer board, mortar and tile.
