Could you please tell me how fast Columnar Maple Trees grow (approx. how many feet per year)? We live in the Southern MN area. Thanks for your help!

I assume you mean "Acer Rubrum Columnare"

A great tree! The largest known is here in Seattle at 69 feet. I think 8-12 inches per year would be a good estimation of growth rate, likely low in the range in a cooler climate such as yours.

Other favorite narrow trees are:

Dawck beech, hornbeam, Alaska cedar, gingko, dawn redwood
