what is a cord of wood considered?....some person told me it is 4 feet long by 4 feet wide by4 feet deep....but then someone else told me it is 3x3x3 i had always hedard 4x4x4 so waht isit

I always sold cords that were 4x4x8

A cord of firewood is 128 cubic feet. That's 4 X 4 X 8 (one very full pick-up).
Now, sometimes folks sell "Face Cords" which are 4 X 8 X One piece length.
For the buyer, it's important to know what you're buying .
For the seller, it's probably important to be clear about what you're selling.
