cost of 064 coil

    i was on the baileys web site and i was looking for a coil for my 064. wow almost 200$, what s the deal ?

    0000 400 1300 IGNITION COIL $129.38

    But that one is the same coil that is on a bunch of saws, including the 029/ms290. Lots of junk ones around...

    You can find 1122 400 1314 aftermarket one for under 1/10 of that on the Amazon.
    Yes I know but...


    At least I will say: good thing there is some aftermarket competition and these may be perfectly fine for the occasional user?

    Make sure you get the right coil, the 064 has a whole bunch of different coil/flywheel combinations. The coil has to work with the flywheel you have.

    Experience has taught me this with bigger saws. Use a voltmeter to test the original coil for continuity before jumping the gun to think the coil is bad. You might save $ and face to make very sure. If the coil has continuity search elsewhere for the broken voltage connection. Just a suggestion.
