I am weak. I admit it.
Stopped in my dealer to drop off about half a dozen chains to be sharpened.
Ended up leaving with a 590.
Muffler mod and carb tuning to occur later today..

Joined 2 months ago, 8 posts, and he's got it. It appears that CAD spreads faster than Kung-Flu.

Nice... does the 590 have a mag case? Trying to determine what the differences are between it and the 600 besides an aluminum handle.

My granddaddy ran a saw mill.
Daddy started cutting and hauling at logs at 14. That still cracks me up, a 14 year old running a log truck..
I think I started cutting at 12 on a Homelite XL-12. Cutting and hauling firewood made my spending money after summer tobacco was over.
Might be new to the site but definitely now new around saws.
Just glad I'm around people who think having a dozen or so saws is normal.

I read a ton about the 590 on here. Do a search and there's a thread that goes into great detail about the differences between the two.
Short summary, the upgrades the 600 provided didn't justify the bump in cost.

The 590 is a great saw I only got rid of mine because I went to a two saw plan.

Watch the tune. They tend to be lean outa the box. Muffler needs very little.
