Cylinder Pit.

Hi all at AS.
Cleaning up a light scored 066 cylinder.
Found these 2 pits.
1 at the right of transfer port.(very small)
1 above port.(a bit larger)
Can this cause a problem?
It is a Mahle,also have a Stihl.
Is the Mahle better?

Both cylinders are 066 mid production decomp cylinders.

That is on the upper where it matters most . It mill most likely run in its present state'. For how long anybodies guess. I suggest replacing the cyilnder.

What I thought.
About 10mm from squish band.

Stihl cylinder has more scoring but no pits.
Should clean up though.
