Disease transfer when bringing home firewood

I have a nice group of spruce trees, and only spruce trees (well, other than mulberry and boxelder) on my place. A fella has some spruce trees dying on his place, wants them removed, offered me the wood while I help remove. I'll burn anything, but I'm hesitant to bring home something that might cause issues at home. 10 miles of distance between places.

I have spruce trees dying occasionally also.

You need to figure out why they are dying. If it’s not bugs/disease then no problem to bring the wood.
