I picked this up on a trade. I swapped out the muffler that was on the saw with a little better one. This one is cracked around one of the muffler bolts but functions fine. Saw has around 175psi or so with a good looking piston. Has good spark and a complete functional brake. The saw is the 70cc variant but if one could come across a 133 p&c or a rare 143 it could be upgraded to larger ccs. Included in the asking price is a modified 404 24" bar and stihl semi chisel chain.

Looking to get $220, buyer to pay shipping costs. Will probably ship in two boxes if cheaper.

Keith, did you mod a D025 Stihl mount to fit the 14mm studs?

The 123,133,143 saws are great machines!

@Jon1212 this would compliment your vintage saw collection nicely!

Yes. I used a milling machine to open the bar slot to 14mm and modded the adjuster stud hole larger and oiler hole slightly. Not sure what the actual link count is I just spun a chain to fit. I think it was 78 but don't quote me.

I received this today from @psuiewalsh. I made the trade for power head only, as I don't run 404 on anything else. Keith was kind enough to switch it over to 3/8 for me.

I modded the Carlton bar from 12 to 14mm, and opened up the adjuster holes a little bit.

It fired right up, and sounds SWEET!
