I had some trees come down this winter and I’ve been bucking and splitting them into firewood. Mostly oak and maple. This tree eludes me though; I need help identifying the species. It’s heavy as heck, stringy and not easy at all to split. I’ve attached pictures for you. Any help would be appreciated!
