Driveway replacement near massive oak tree

I have a driveway in disrepair that needs to be replaced. I have an oak tree that is approximately 3 feet away from drive way. Will tearing out the current driveway and replacing potiental harm the tree?

Be careful when removing the driveway. Don't dig too deep, don't disturb the roots and it should be fine.
