Pretty proud of it.

13x14x17 fire box constructed from 3/16” mild steel

1/4” 304ss baffle and 1” 316ss secondary air tube for secondary combustion.

Main air intake control under door.

2” SCH40 316ss pipe polished for legs.

Made for 4”chimney pipe.

all stick welded (besides the secondary air pipe was tig welded) outside corners sanded to a radius.

Will get high heat black paint. I wish they made clear. I like the look of this as is but it will rust after the first burn.

I think you will modify the one you have and build some more. Then I would suspect you will come up with a see through panel down the road. You got plenty warmed by building what may be your first and then you will be warmed for a long time to come by it later on. Once you start using it tell us what you think. Great job. Thanks

Thank you sir,

Been a fabricator my entire life as a carrier. I really enjoyed this.

My plan is to test,modify/improve as needed and most likely start making and selling.

This one was kinda a hodgepodge of parts that were laying around. But i think the concept is good.

My first attempts at many projects make me LOL some times and then there are the failures. I am building at the moment a furnace/ forge for several purposes with a small fan to increase temperatures as it is too early to deem it success or failure. Thanks

Looks good! I’ve fanned my share of stuff over the years. I agree with ted sometimes I look back at some stuff I did years ago and think now why the hell did it do it like that?
i have two stoves and one thing I really like about one of them is how deep the bed of the stove is below the door. That way you don’t have to constantly clean it.
You could make the next one outta stainless and leave it natural finish if you like that. You could do a brushed finish or something.

Is the secondary air non regulated? You may want to have something handy around to block that off if it ever gets away on you. She may go nuclear!
