Friends one question, if I flip my saw on one side and it bogs and dies is that a pointer whats wrong??

Yes that is a hint of a problem that needs corrected.

Loosen the chain and see if it changes ANY AT ALL.

I've seen some saws that ran ok with the chain and bar off and when the bar/chain was installed and the chain tension adjusted the engine would become erratic and not idle good. Could loosen the chain and the engine would idle somewhat better or ok. This was usually caused due to the clutch/sprocket crank seal going bad and the bearing would still be ok. Just putting some side load on the crank would cause the seal to leak more. I could confirm such (leaking seal) by doing a pressure test of the crankcase.

I've never seen this symptom on a Stihl chainsaw but several other makes of chainsaws.

Did you ever take it too the Stihl shop for their opinion? (like you indicated in a previous post)
