Florida Shade/Canopy Tree Suggestions

I recently moved into a new construction home which included 2 oaks trees in the backyard. My son is allergic to Oak and the following trees also: Birch, Elm, Willow, White Ash, Hickory, Queen Palm & Red Cedar.

I am allowed to replace the Oaks but with another type of shade/canopy tree.

Any suggestions on other options to look into?

Allergic to the pollen? Are there oaks on the neighboring property? If so, getting rid of 2 probably won't make a difference...

Call a local Arborist and nursery. Get a couple of opinions and listen to their WHY. Many just plant XYZ because everyone else does despite the fact it is a terrible match for the soil or site. Can't beat local experience. What works great in one part of the state, may be a poor match in the next.
