Forestry notebook

Hi, I'm not sure if you can help me, but I'm a senior in highschool and my teacher wants me to make a forestry notebook. I have to look up the different kinds of trees, ferns or whatever else that's in a forest. My assignment right now is to look up evergreen trees, broadleaf (deciduous) trees, understory plants and flowers, and ferns. In my notebook, I need to include the description, photo, habitat, scientific name, and uses.
Do you know of a website that will help me with my project or an area on your website?

one idea is to stick to a certain type of forest that is in your area, it will limit the number of species that you need and be more scientific.

Contact you regional forrestry office for info on a few trees to look up. the look for associations.
