FS 131 or DR Mower for Acres of Blackberry ?

Hello,
I have at least two solid acres of blackberries over 6 feet tall that I am clearing. Cannot afford tractor and will not use poison..

It has been suggested that a stihl FS 131 with oregon brush cutting mulching blade would do very well.

My question is would it do better than a DR walk behind mower ? Amy advice or thoughts on what economical thing would work best is appreciated.

Forty years ago I used a walk behind sickle bar mower. Use either one you want. When you make a purchase today, look at tomorrow for what else the tool can be used for. You may can add extra attachments to a FS131. I just put a chainsaw attachment on my 1992 FS74 weed eater. I will share this. PPE. I don't like being clawed. I been clawed. It ain't fun. Wear heavy, thick full leather boots. Wear a thick insulated coveralls(tape the cuffs). Wear leather gloves. Get a motorcycle helmet with full face and neck cover. Grit your teeth and have at it!

Rent a walk behind for the initial clearing and buy the 131 for follow up maintenance.

2 ac. Isn't huge it's the 6ft whips that's gonna get ya. Cleared many patches of brier. Half day rental, bobcat with brush hog is money well spent.
