Use a soldering iron. Get it real hot and melt the plastic back together. I haven't done it but I have a buddy that does it on tanks and covers. They turn out pretty good.

Anybody tried q-bond on a tank? Or bicarbonate of soda and superglue?
Used q-bond on a 288 top cover and spilled fuel on it, it's solid

i like to fix tanks with a paddle element on a soldering gun. i actually cut a v like groove at the crack to fill cause it seems to make it more tolerant of the beatings i give my saws. a newbie to plastic welding should start easy and skip the v like groove part though. clean in as good as possible with acetone before attempting this though as the tinyiest but of oil can make a real ugly mess.
