Can anyone recommend a good reference book for do's and don'ts of tree trimming? I live in South Dakota and am considering removing some of the lower branches of several trees in my yard and would like to be sure I'm doing it safely.

This book that Deere John is talking about is a fantastic book : http://arboristsite.com/showthread.php?threadid=61 I can get it for you at the lower price I believe if you are interested. Also, any book that Dr. Alex Shigo has written is very good. But the Tree Trimmers book is the best.

I would go ahead and get it there. I thought I could get it just as cheap or cheaper through Buckingham manufacturing which sells the book under part number 45-801 but I couldnt. Sorry Darin
