I have been looking at getting a bigger saw for milling and saw a new saw that looks like a copy of a sthil 070.
Labled Generic ms070.
I imagine its an import and not sure much else.
Here is the spec they have listed.
Generic 105cc 36" single cylinder 2-stroke 070 gasoline chainsaw in Magnesium alloy;
  • Engine: Air cooling; single cylinder, two stroke gasoline engine;
  • Maximum Power: 6.5 hp/4.8 kw;
  • Displacement: 105 cc;
  • Max speed (with cutting attachment): 8,000 rpm;
  • Ignition: Breaker controller magneto;
  • Chain lubrication: auto oiler with manual assist;
  • Starter: Automatic recoil hand starter ;
  • Bar: 36";
  • Fuel tank capacity: 1,200 ml;
  • Fuel: Gasoline/2-cycle with oil mixing ratio 25:1/ 40:1;
  • Oil tank capacity: 530 ml;
  • Chain Gauge: .404";
  • Chain Pitch: 3/8";
  • Net weight (without bar and chain): 23.6 lb.;
  • Net weight with 36" bar and chain: 33.3 lb.;
  • Assembly required

I was wondering if anyone tried these out and if they work,
Given the simular spec to a 070 I am guessing someone bought the rights from stihl to make them again.
Not so sure I am interested in forking over $655 plus tax to try one.

Let me know what you think.

Plus tax? Is it for sale locally? Why not go have a look at it?

Yes it is local but I haven't called them yet. I figured someone has been down this road here so I would check here first to see if it's worth the hour drive.
