The Good Lord has a lot to do with it.
1600.... Leading Naturopath said " More people have died from their own teeth than all the past wars in human history." He was also a Christian.
I had a Great Uncle who died at 96 jacking up his barn in Greenfield, MA ( up on the Mohawk Trail). Barn fell on him and crushed him! Father says he drank a qt of bourbon every day of his life!

Your statement is a contradiction: if a person eats junk, smokes and drinks and lives to old age he has great Genetics!

Just avoid the scotch broom pollen season, and the perpetual tree and rhododendron pollination cycles. And if it looks like an entire city lost a cotton wool fight, it's cottonwood bloom season. No worries, unless you've got a campfire going, which is prohibited because of fire season 10 months a year, because pines tend to go up like a tire fire on steroids, and burn places like the Lake Chelan area into charcoal. ;)

Anyway, skiing, you can find some nice areas around Highway 20, and because of the ridiculous snow pack this year, you'll probably be able to ski until may, and possibly later. [IMG]

Although, to be contrary, the insane snow packs are in Nevada, Utah, California, and Wyoming.

As for getting away for vacation, lol, this pause in events between jobs is about the most vacation i've had in many many years. And now that the defense appropriations look to be on the rise, the defense sequester is toast, and there's a budding ground war being planned for US troops in Syria... Well, the supply of overtime might run out in maybe 5-6 years. lol! By the time I get a chance to play with chainsaws again, people will be arguing about battery technologies, motor technologies, and driver circuits. Remember, H-bridge VFD driver, silicon carbide components, 9 phase motor, gauss quench emergency stop, graphene/pom batteries, and dialectic grease on all your connections. :D Of course, all these will be rendered unrecognizable by marketing jibberish, not that anyone would recognized industrial electronics terms anyway.

Everyone still messing with gasoline chainsaws will be arguing about xylene/toluene ratios, oil ratios, and the last place on earth to find genuine "gasoline" that you can run on unchipped chainsaws, and specially lined tanks. And the latest batch of tree killing terror bugs will be something that crept out of Turkmenistan, and chews up walnut trees inside of 9 months.

edit:whoops! On the last bit, too late! [IMG]

But it's native to north america, so it's not invasive at least! https://www.fs.fed.us/research/invasive-species/insects/walnut-twig-beetle.php

I figured you would. It's a very good tincture to have around at all times, but particularly in the summer.
I always say everything you need to live where you are is where you are, but we continue to reach outside the confines of the little ecosystems we live in and ignore what is right before us. The bummer is we are also bombarded from outside our little eco system with things such as this flu bug, but with a few natural remedies from right here local and a good bit of rest we can make it thru.

Good evening Lee. When my oldest son was in scouts his car won first place out of the whole troop. I polished the axles and soaked them in Slik 50 over night. For the weight I drilled holes in the bottom more towards the back and filled them with melted lead. Had a triple balance beam scale to get it dead nuts on weight:yes:. Have fun buddy and good luck. :givebeer:

Yes, some of the pollen cycles take me out awfully quick. When I lived in FL I didn't have that problem.
No fires, that's not something I'm willing to go without, that's not even right, I say burn them things down :blob2: and let's get some hardwoods planted .
No worries on skiing anytime soon however it would be nice to get out sometime before I hit 50, but that might be wishful thinking :nofunny:. It sure does look as though those are some great numbers out west this year, you could have sent some of the cold temps this way. We have gotten plenty of precipitation, only bummer is most of it has been in the form of rain:eek:.
I thought you were working on the boarder, did they cut your funding .
Oh well, glad to here your getting a little break and that your work should be picking up.
When do you think you'll be heading back to the Great Lakes Megaregion .
No need to worry about those small details(saws, gas/batteries) as the government will tell us what they want us to buy where to buy it and where we are to live, we are all part of the plan, as long as we do what we are told.
Not invasive meaning it is a home brewed here in the US .
I've never been one for conspiracy theories, but they sure sound interesting don't ya think:crazy2:.

Evening/nite y'all! 48 & cloudy. Got lucky this morning. We had some tornadoes go around. Only few limbs down & nothing tore up the fence. Stay safe my friends.
