That's a new spot for a primer bulb. Why the move. They used to have the multi-position choke/off switch there

You run a few saws every day, I run around 20-30 a year and only use them now and then. Then I have saws I run in dirty/softwood to keep the nice ones looking pretty. I bet if you had a saw for each day of the month even your would look better :D.

    Howdy Phil.
Probably easy to reach, besides there is most likely no need for a choke on a fuel injected saw.
They also don't want it to look to much like a husky ;).

Good to hear it was a quality item.
What all did you do to it, did you get crazy with the cylinder, or is that why you need another:chainsaw:.

No, it runs good,I have 5 other 50 series saws that I’d like to put another close port on.I did modify the cylinder a bit.I opened it up to 60% of the bore intake and exhaust.raised the corners of the transfers a couple of degrees,Base gasket delete and a muffler mod.Nothing special:)

We're not going to ask you how you know this, but ... I reckon Mark will in the morning, after his long beauty rest.

Little here and a little there makes for a fun saw. Did you check the compression on it yet. On mine(both stock) you better use the decomposition if you want the recoil to last. I don't use recoils, but the recoils rip the little tab off them. I figured I could repair them through the cover with a bolt if I continued to have a problem with them breaking, but I haven't ran them in a while as they are in need of carb kits.
I think at one time @cus_deluxe had a CP 55 cylinder?

Running a couple searches right now. Fell asleep praying with the kids, then got up to get the fire going and hoped on for a bit.
Getting my snow blower inventory up as we are due for a good year of snow soon here.
How about you, did you get that 311.

I haven’t checked the compression yet but if I don’t use the compression release I’ll have a broken starter:(

I remember when I first got mine, I had the bar off it and I bout it with a crushed recoil, put the new one on and I crotched it and gave the thing a pull without a bar on it and it almost hit me in the head, no joke . They are a mean little saw right out of the box.
