Afternoon,

Knocked down our big ash tree today. My climber was really looking forward to this, he figure two-cords+, and it's already half dry. The takedown was straight forward, a bit of roping and Porta-Wrap action. Long time to clean it up, the client likes it tidy.

Hope everyone is well.

Evening,

Apparently they're cutting down a schmidtload of ash in the city because of that, and this may be the same thing. I didn't notice any holes in the bark though.
Holes are small. Really have to look close. Seems EAB goes after the big trees. I have some small ones with no damage but 3-4 on the property just waitin for the 462.

hi FS - fast fwd, it's here. been here all day long. been out in it working... only had to change my clothes 3 times. and not due to getting too hot. it was a bit humid though... moving N at 7 mph... steady rains falling at this time and past couple hours. earlier was up on roof cleaning pine needles from valleys... dark and threatening... but staying dry. just finished and a final check on other side roof, about to come down... and bam! all  let loose!!! change #2!

more of same tomorrow. only more!

66 in the shade, what a day.
Not sure I'm out of the woods yet with my haybine, but started taking it apart and found remnants of a woodruff key.
Hoping .99 cents will have me mowing soon, as long as I can get whole assembly put back together.
hi leeroy - u know what they say on this site... "where there is smoke, there is fire!' lol

hope u get it fixed soon... you going to bale squares or rounds?... why do u think it chewed the key? something come loose? brittle and broke?

I like 99-cent repairs! :happybanana:

Good morning Todd :drinkingcoffee:.
Thanks.
Still have a little bit more cleanup until so that I can mow as normal, but lots more to do that is on the edge of the woods, then what's in the woods. I plan on doing cleanup right up until winter as I get pretty busy with life in the fall, my main focus now is the yard and getting the hangers out of the trees. I still need to finish splitting firewood for myself as I want that mess cleaned up, then I can put all the green wood in that location which is out of the way. Hope you have a nice flight home.
soon it will all be behind you, chipper. then spring will come, new growth etc... and but for maybe a tree here or there... you won't know it hardly ever even happened!
