Good morn all

Our roofing contractor came by yesterday & said "bad for the roof; good for you" as the July 11th hail event has been classified as a "catastrophic event by the insurance industry." After we get the quote to replace it we'll contact our agent.

Off to the woodpile this morning with the 661R wearing a 28", no skip

Good morning crew :drinkingcoffee:.
An odd sunrise today same as the sunset last night, you can tell there is some haze, guessing its from the fires out west, has anyone heard anything about that in the news.
56 heading to 79 :baba:, ready for Thursday in the mid 60s and lower 60s Friday-sunday, then we start another warm up into the upper 70s next week. Lots of wind in the forecast too, so plenty of leaves falling.
Pressure washer is running fine although I haven't left the fuel turned on because I don't trust the float to work properly. When I went out yesterday to check it out I pulled the float bowl and the float seemed had no fuel in it, the needle was in the hole for the seat and would stop the flow when push lightly against the seat. I'm wondering if I had the bowl on slightly cocked and it jammed the float in the lower position. When I get done with all my pressure washing I'll leave the fuel turned on and see if it's working 100%, until then I need to keep making forward progress with washing. Managed to get the truck and car washed and the car waxed, then the mower all blown off. Today is the saw cleaned off and the mower engine pulled to find the leak and hopefully repaired if I don't need any new parts, lots more saws to clean and shipping quotes to put together, fall is in the air.
Have a great day everyone.

Good morning Mark.
Glad to hear your getting a new roof, that always helps a home sell better.
Have fun at the woodlot and be safe.

hi chipper! ~ ... and I felt so guilty eating it, too!

mask, mowing, dry - no doubt that makes sense!
Well if the wife said eat it you must obey :p.

Forgot to say above that when I first fired up the pressure washer yesterday the hose blew out at the connection near the handle. I had a spare that isn't as long, but it was missing a fitting so that took a good bit of time to get off the old hose. Slight activation, but there's always something slowing forward progress.
Here's the mower ready for surgery, no mask needed, but a bump in the oxygen like in an operating room would be nice ;).
Need to get the new Kubota back here as its needing cleaned off too, maybe next week when it warms up as today it probably won't happen.

can you just imagine... a guy so hungry he had 2 of them! reminds me of the double mint ad: 'two mints, two mints, two mints in one!'

two meats, two meats... two meats in one! (cheeseburger)

for those with an extra active appetite today:

and don't forget a side of fries = to the same level of satisfaction!

I decided to clean the wood stove and chimney today,,, nothing went right!!!! Took about an hour to get a piece of soot out of my eye,,, tough to do when you need glasses to see it!!! Then I had to replace the stove pipes,,,another trip out... And the best part,,, one of the chimney brush rods came apart about ten feet up the chimney!!! Fortunately I was able to put a long thin bolt thru a plastic pipe and hooked it in a hole in the rod to pull it out,,, bet I couldn't do that again ! But,, it's done!!!!
sounds like you showed that ol chimney who's boss kb! - I bet you could fix chipper's mower's oil lean in a flash! ;) best part is u got that soot out of your eye... yikes!

hmm, guess I need another :drinkingcoffee: solo past couple days, gotta go get it myself...

Good morning. 45*/clear/cool. Happy Guacamole day. Got the 3rd cutting of alfalfa done yesterday after auction. Hoping for sunny skies the next couple of days to dry May split some wood and fill some bins today before picking pumpkins later. Have a great day guys. FS.
you cannot even imagine how big guac is down here! omg - avacados are running 77-cents ea... one store, 87-cents another. or at another if u want... 2/$1. bit smaller. bin always big. at this store, sometimes u find some guacs that all u need to do is dip the tortillas into it! lol  you can grow avocado trees down here and they fruit. never eaten one of those. we buy a couple of avacados each trip to store... they are best if bought just starting to soften and eaten in a day or two... and usually some :givebeer:, too. but I don't drink that and eat guacs together... :omg: well, here is one to go with the theme of the day! some tex-mex humor... it may seem political, but I don't think it is... ;) lol

Morning everyone, was a long weekend and couple day wife was sick all weekend vertigo and throwing up we have an appointment with the family DR. on Thursday and the Hida scan on Friday and we found a new ENTs office. The old one was located in a Covid testing facility bedsides what is and what is not for real I'm not taking stupid chances. Chimney is all cleaned and ready for the season I have to mix up some concrete for a couple mortar joint repairs in the brick where the heatilator and the brick surround meet but other than that we are good to go it really wasn't that bad all in all I got out maybe a handful of soot from the over 12 feet of clay pipe so id say my wood is nice and dry. Have a good one all.

hi V - well, u definitely don't want to try to handle hot ash! lol don't ask me how I know... lol. in any event, good luck on your chimney sweep...

Good morning everyone! It's a cool 37 here again this morning with a high of 74 in the forecast. It's a little chilly in the house this morning so I'll be opening some windows later.
I would have to have a morning fire going temps like that! :cold: I like it when the cool air is blowing in from the N and I can open doors and windows...

don't you watch the news! ?? I do, even if it biased! lol ;) well, other than foxx...

it was all over the news last nite chipper! with charts - air streams taking the smoke infested west coast's cover... up N and then E along the US/Canadian border... across you, the GL's... and bit dippy down into NY, etc... with headlines: west coast smoke reaches east coast!

no haze down here per se last nite... was out side early new day... could see stars... no clouds... blue skies this morning with some strata-like cirrus... thin, white...
