Good morning all, 50° ay chores time and cloudy. Chance of showers later, we'll see. Animals are fed and watered, bipeds fed and last of the coffee is in my cup. Hunting was a bust this weekend, didn't see a thing. Swirling winds, leaves still falling and very few hunters out on Saturday. Sunday started out with calm winds and got windier as the day got on. One woodchuck neighbor and his buddy took 5 shots to kill 2 small Bambies. Two of the shots were when one of them was down and almost out. They were this years does that all the neighbors had been watching grow up. Probably not more than 75 lbs soaking wet each. Plus the killing shots were within 500 ft. of 3 nearby homes. A total no-no in NY. Maybe woodchuck is too good a name for him. Play safe out there.

Good morning. Back from the beach celebrating our delayed 15th wedding anniversary. Supposed to have been in March.

This morning, opossum in the cage trap next to the bird feeders. Relocated it to the county park. Second one this year. Took wife in for cataract evaluation. Both eyes need to be done.
Had a possum in my barn trap this morning. Wondered why my cat food was disappearing. Setting one in the pole barn tonite for whatever is eating cat food in there.

Could be worse.
Any time can be worse, thankfully not as bad as it could be!
Stayed in avoiding rain. Locating things on shelves that I hope will sell at auction next month lol. Need more space and they are less interesting than at time of purchase. #2 iron bell w/harp post & Christmas tree support for display. If it gets decent money everything else can go mediocre since I've no idea what was spent.
My stock w/ largest # shares has got up to 22 times the 1st sell a few weeks ago. Still less than 1/2 average cost tho. Rolled funds from previous sales into stocks that have gone up. 250,000 shares for sale @ 11% over buy price to feel less the dummy
Rest easy gents

For the past 7 days my wife & finally myself, have been trying to catch this cat that looks to have been let-loose or abandoned in the nature preserve that
is near us. Winter is not far away & this property has fox & the occasional coyote .
It's in good shape & will come close to us, so not feral. No collar, but is may have a chip(which all animals are required to have that will reveal its owner)

We called animal control & they came out last Friday & tried for an hour to lure it close enough so that it can be caught.
Since the land is the city's, no traps are allowed.

Yesterday it was eating food off my wife's hand...alas no cat carrier. We did buy one shortly after that & came back, but it was not there.
So we will keep trying for awhile, bringing it food every time.
Good luck on the cat capture. Sounds just like what Mrs. FS would do.

True, but was 5:29 am here. Must be because of the metric system. ;) Had to buy a new alternator. $250... POOF!! (bye bye $$)
Prolly easier spending the $250 than taking the old one out and putting the new one in but I'm guessing it i didn't take to long on metric time. :surprised3:

Quite the opposite actually. Took 4 hours total. First called alternator specialist in another town another 100km west. He said would be cheaper to buy off the shelf since I am not nearby. Went to CanTire in nearest town 35 km north. Into store (under Covid regulations no less) and +30yr experienced mechanic could not find a match after 10 minutes. Drove to NAPA, young man behind counter never seen one like it before. Another 10 minutes, tried match numbers but could not. Ended up driving to specialist, through 35km of highway road construction, I put the alt on the counter and he said, "Oh yeah, that number #14567". Walked out back and produced the exact alt. Drive back home in an hour, and had the alt on in about 5 minutes. Had to add a washer as a spacer though. The gap to the mounted bracket was not near as tight as the old one. Turned it on and it was reading 14V. Good enough for me. By this time, I walk in the house and supper is on the table. So I can't complain.

Good morning :drinkingcoffee:.
Got down to 34 this morning, it's 39 now, heading to 52. We are now on a warming trend, talking about low 70s by the end of the week. Looks like I may get my pressure washing done then.
May do the leaves again and split some wood, but no big plans today which I'm sure will change.
Have a great day.
