So I’m new at recreational tree climbing. I’ve been practicing installing my buckingham friction saver except today I got it stuck. I think I put it around too big of a branch. The rings didn’t hang down beneath the limb but rather stopped on the side of the limb. At that point I could neither install a rope thru the rings or get the friction saver out with the installed throw line and a throw bag. The bag and the rope would just jam into the side of the limb. I ended up throwing another line and just using a canopy tie, climbed up and got the friction saver. Anyone ever do this?

Got one stuck about a month ago, but I made a new one with some larger rings and forgot to test the large ring size.. went to yank it out of the tree after the climb and rope pulled right through. Had to get line set back up and climb up and get it.
