I've checked on various forums but no real response yet.
Does anyone use a substitute for Anchorseal?
Has anyone ever use either of the following products instead of Anchorseal? Is it comparable?

Anchorseal has gotten expensive for me since I last bought it so I'm looking for a substitute.

I'm sure others will disagree with me, but I gave up on all that sealer stuff 20+ years ago. Some wood is just going to split, sealer or not. Some won't. Waste of time & money. Just my opinion.

Cheapest latex paint at store works just fine.

Bailey's offers sealer in 5 gal pails for like $80 before shipping. I was considering getting some as it seems to be the best $/gal but I'm scared to see what the shipping is.

I think when I checked it was like $40, still probably a good deal for 5 gal. But I only need a gallon or two. The last time I got a 2 gal pail of anchorseal, it lasted me 10 yrs?
