    Hello from Texas

I have a Husqvarna 142 E built in 2007, I have'nt used it for years and I tried to start it up and it didnt!

I have noticed every time I put it down it leaked oil a lot!

    So far I've
changed out the fuel line and filter tip
    cleaned out the carburetor
used air compressor to clean the case and carb area up!

I put it back together and it started great and ran ok, put it up for the night and came back and old leaking again!

I emptied the oil and took apart the the clutch area to get to the oil pump and connections, then I went to take the the oil tube vent hose out and it was not connected to any thing and lose in the oil tank, I attached a picture of the tube and was broke in 2 pieces and looked kind of melted!

Now I will order a new oil vent tube but I have no clue how to install it, no info online!

    Pictures added
    Thanks

    Michael

Welcome to AS @GENO-0506. Sorry can't help ya. I'm a Stihl guy. Go to the stickies section at the top of the page. In there is the beg for manuals thread. Ask for a parts list(IPL) and a repair manual. Couple of great guys there that might be able to help. Good luck getting your saw running.

Why do you think I have Stihls? :omg: Seriously I don't have any problems with mine. The only thing I noticed is when I turn the oiler up to max on my pro saws is I sometimes get a little oil dripping off the bar/ chain. No puddles or anything like that.

    Thanks'

I think I figured it out, the clear end of the vent tube goes in the hole on the front side near the 2 bolts for the blade/bar and I push it into the oil tank til the black portion of the vent tube lines up flush with the hole! Thats were the black tip broke off from the tube!

    Thanks again

Stop over in the Good morning thread on the off topic forum and say hi. Bunch of good guys hang there. The scrounging firewood thread covers a lot more than firewood. Good guys there too.

You need a modified e-flow back pin on the inner diameter of the spriggins and haynes forth shot coupled with the old weebly style tubimizer. Be sure to use a no. 5 jacksonville crimp tool on your flute sighted tubing.
