Help. Can I save this tree?

I have a tree at a house I just bought. I know nothing about trees so I was looking here for a bit of help. It is a big tree with very few leaves left and part of the bark is white. I think I have a picture of a fallen leaf, but I'm not totally sure. There are pictures below. Any help identifying the tree and the problem would be much appreciated. And if it's worth/possible to save.

That is an ash. Likely under attack by Emerald Ash Borer.

It is toast - too far gone to save.
