I was looking at the 555xp and the 562xp and noticed the smart start feature on these saws . The site says it is for starting the saw with less effort. Is this like the easy start on the stihl saws ? I have looked at the videos on the 555 and 562 on here and on youtube . if some one with these saw can help me out that would be great. Or even a short video of this smart start feature.

No, It is not like on the Stihl saws.

I think that this is part of the way the saws are designed.

I have a 562 XP that just came in last week, and it is like any of the Husqvarna saws that I have, coke on, when it pops, choke off and then off she goes.

All of my Husqvarna saws are easy to start.

The smart start feature on Husqvarna saws just refers to a compresion release valve (de-comp)on the side of the cylinder.
