FWIW, almost all pieces got de-barked. The rounds layed there for almost a year and I just recently split them. I found just two pieces with bark on them.

I thought it was oak. Now looking at the bark, doesn't look anything like oak.

Looking at other pics, yeah the bark does look very much like Mulberry and yes, it is does generate sparks just like other threads say it does:

Thanks for clarification.
I wonder if it will be seasoned for this coming winter, the split pieces feel semi-seasoned as the rounds lay there for 6-9 months.
It should be good to go this winter if you can get it stacked off the ground and at least top covered.
