Homebuilt Flywheel Splitter Video

I've checked out your splitter and one is on my project list. Being a "junk collector" as my wife puts it, I already have most of the materials to build my own. I found the patent drawings on this forum and with your info and others, I'm about ready to start. The one question I have is about the actuator or trip lever. I understand how it lowers the rack onto the pinion, but I'm not so sure how the release or return works. I know it returns with the springs, but how does it release the rack from the pinion. I watched the DR video and the cam system they use, but how does it actually release? Great Job on yours, I want one Too!
