Hello,
I am trying to repair my father in law's Super 2 Chainsaw. He stated that it would kick over but not stay running. It has a Zama carb on it, and I ordered a rebuilt kit. I took the carb apart and replaced all the components that came in the kit. The saw will fire right away, but only stays running for maybe 5 seconds or so. It will rev up and idle. It seems to be starving of fuel for some reason. I have replaced the fuel filter in the tank, and also replaced the fuel line going from the tank to the carb in case it was cracked. I still have not gotten it to run any better.
What else could possibly be going on here? What else can I check? This is driving me crazy!
