Hello all I have maybe a cord of squarish or triangle chunks of assorted woods, from cut-off pieces and sawn up knots, etc. I stacked some of them onto a palatte(sp?), but no air gets into them and they appear to stay wet for ever after a rain. I can't think of a good way to dry them.

Tips welcomed! I really like the chunks 'cause they look great in the fireplace when they burn.

i usually throw them on top of the pile of wood, or use them to hold the plastic sheet down...

Chunks

I have the same problem with a different product. Our local railroad tie processing plant sells tie ends ep to 20" long. I split those but there are a lot of 10X8X8 pieces that are hard to stack and still dry out.
