How is this for burned up

Looks like a poulan piston. I seen em get hot all the time like that due to the ring sticking, looks to me that you don't have alot of obvious scoring going on. If your cylinder is in good shape perhaps a new ring would put you back in business for cheap. If it takes a dive after that well it could be worse lol...i've seen some internals in tiny TINY pieces..matter of face i've torn down one 026 stihl where only the risk pin and one piece of the piston where the pin sits was left. Should've took pictures, it was very interesting. Anyways, good luck with it
