How quick a job can go from fun to crap

Well today I was having fun taking out an 80 foot oak. All was going well swinging well some large chunks out across a house when I looked down and seen a stub. It was only 3 inches in diameter and 6 inches long I reached down and lopped it off knowing I should have grabbed the stupors thing and what you know down it went righ on the roof now from about 50 foot it was enough to bust a couple shingles enough to just suck all the fun out. At least that was the worst of it but I’m steadily kicking my own butt.

It's easy to get comfortable and take a small short cut or two. That's when it will happen.
