How to clean fire place glass

The gas Blaze King stove in the house has a heavy film build-up on the inside of the glass front. What do you guys use to clean that off with?

Before anyone says "gtfo, this is a wood-burning site", I do have a Blaze King wood stove out in the shop

Paper towel with water. But that's on my wood burning stove. Try it.

Warm it up a bit - use newspaper.

I have taken a wet rag and some of the ashes and it cleans it up really well. Try it......,oh wait yer gas burner prolly ain't got no ashes....

You might try 0000 steel wool and window cleaner.

Replace with wood stove...dont think it gets much simpler than that...

Find wood ash and damp a paper towel newspaper whatever, scrub a bit then wash with paper towel. Cheap easy and works! Or buy oven cleaner if you like breathing in the fumes baby!

Wood ash and damp paper towel/rag, window cleaner and paper towel, scrape with single edge razor blade are all methods I've used on my wood burner. Should work on the gas burner too.

Water and a razor blade works for me.

Wadded up newspaper dipped in water then fire ash. Best thing in the world, and the ingredients are right there.
