I picked up this old RHP 10-10 Light Weight with a 16” bar a while ago. It runs fine and has great compression. I have some gaskets on the way which should hopefully fix some fuel and oil drips o have going on. (They are cork so I’m not gonna get my hopes up too far).

I can’t find any sort of serial number on here. I’ve looked damn near everywhere I could think (even under the air filter )

The only number I could find was ‘1079’ on the underside of the crankshaft case (I think).

I’m trying to date the saw and it’s driving me nuts. Do any of y’all have any clue where I can start with this process?

Aside from the ignition switch and fuel/oil caps it’s almost all metal. So I’m guessing it’s from the 70s maybe late 60s? I know the RHP wasn’t really carried onto newer saws too much from what I’ve read on here.

Any help would be greatly apprappreciated... I have scrubbed this site for weeks and can’t seem to find what I’m looking for.

Couldn’t find anything in there. It has a fairly clean walbro SDC carb on it. Not too sure if that is OEM. I’m sort of doubting it.

To date a 10-10 you must first ask the Father. It is probably a 125 super pro. Fathers are funny about letting their daughters date a chainsaw man. They will often let bookkeepers or salesmen take them out but you have a tough job getting a date here. Good Luck. Mike

The model tag is really needed to get a close pinpoint date, best I can tell, 1970 is when the recoils were moved from the right side to the left side, which should put yours around the '67-'69 time period.
