How would you cut it?

Starting to take small jobs as I build my skills as a climber. A referral sent me a picture today of a small lead that overhangs their house. I have a rigging plan, and feel fine about getting the limbs on the ground for the one overhanging lead; I'm just stumped on the stump. If I remove the lead, do I just a finish with a normal old low stump as close to the ground as I can get? I'm worried about the tree's long term health if I just leave an open stump that's connected to the main root system. But I don't see another way to deal with it without removing the whole tree. Any thoughts?

Remove the whole tree? Low stump the lead in question? Better option?

Just cut it down low without cutting into the other leads. It's a silver maple, it'll be fine.

Cut both smaller leaders. Leave the dominant center stem. That will save you the trouble of coming back to remove the other later when it falls on the fence.
