Ok Gents...

Here goes..

I received a Husky 288 Lite project from a fellow "Jar Head".
This is a pretty bare bones project to start with.
But that is a good thing!
I do not need this saw to work right away, as I have other Big Huskys to take care of all my cutting needs.
This is just for fun.

This will be a good project during the Summer as our Forest is always closed for cutting here during that time.

I am buying some parts from a member here.
When I get them I will know more of what I need.

I will be posting in the Swapmeet thread alot, looking for parts.

Question for you..

Do you split the cases no matter what? Or if the bearings look good just replace the bearings?

If it were me and I had that 288 I would split the case and clean it real good and put new bearings and seals back in it. That saw looks well used to me.

Parts

Just Pay Paled for some Husky 288 parts from a fellow member!

:)

Now, looking to get them in and trying to figure out all that I need.

Still working on this project.
I do not need this saw, so no big hurry.
I will just keep looking for parts and eventually I will get her all done, and cutting.
I got some parts from a member here, now looking in Swap meet thread and always looking on E-Bay.
