Hi all at AS.
Can a 36 pump be modded to pump more oil?
E.g. enlarge oil holes and file a bigger flat on piston.
Saw oils but seems stingey.
And yes every thing clean, bar groove and oil hole good no blockages.
Breather good.
Cheers Chris.

It's normal, just like with Stihl's smaller clamshells. The saw is designed to oil that way.
Just don't fit too long of a bar and you'll be fine: I seem to recall 18" is the maximum these smaller Poulvarna will go, but they are really meant for 14" and 16" bars.

Chris , I have a 41 that I believe uses the same oil pump as your 36 . If you have a A041 mount bar with the 1/4" diameter oiler hole that feeds a 1/4" by .050" slot to flow bar oil and you are not getting enough oil then you propably need a new pump .
What does the plastic gear look like on the pump ?

Plastic drive good.
Husky bar.I take it the adjuster hole is also the oiler hole.
No other holes in bar.
AM bars that I have seen have separate oil holes.
Maybe just used to my 064/066 oilers.

That 1/4" diameter hole is only part of the oil delivery . That hole connects to the center of the bar that is a 1/4" wide tunnel (1/4" by .050") that goes up to the bottom of the slot that oils the chain drive link .

If you run through a tank of gas, how much oil is left in the reservoir?

On the smaller saws it should use 2/3 to 3/4 tank of oil for each tank of fuel.
