So I ordered the splined carburetor adjustment tool for my 357xp only to find that it doesn't fit. It has this over the carburetor and I can't find any information about what tool goes in there. Perhaps this is some type of California EPA limiter?
I can turn them a little with a flathead screwdriver but they are soft plastic and quickly round out. Due to the very limited adjustment of the stops, adjusting the high screw from one end of its range to the other produces no discernible change.
Should I take this off since they are getting rounded out? And if I do will will the splined connections be underneath it? It runs fine. I was just trying to perform the carburetor adjustment procedure that I had seen online and I really can't because you don't get any range out of it.
