2007 model. In pretty decent cosmetic shape. Oem except Meteor Piston that’s had 2 full tanks. Not a shelf queen by any means. I used it to cut wood. Modded muffler and oversized dogs. I don’t have an oem muffler to fit unless someone wants a 359 version. Small dog available if wanted. PHO.

Asking $350 plus shipping from 97054

Why did it need a piston?
Was the reason it needed a piston fixed? Is there a base gasket or sealant?
Thanx

I have no idea why it needed a new piston. I bought the saw here. It was originally posted on 3/3/14. It was said to have had a new meteor piston in the original ad. When I received it I took the top end off and it had a Golf piston and I contacted the seller for resolution. He refunded me the money and I bought a meteor that’s in it now. I ran it for three years off and on (10 tanks+/-) with the Golf then put the meteor in it. No issues whatsoever with the saw. It does have a base gasket.

I’m looking for a chain grinder too. Silvey, Oregon, Tecomec etc. I’d be happy to make a partial trade with someone if you have one sitting around or want to make a deal.

Pulling this for now. Saw something on the cylinder wall I don’t like and want to be 100% sure it’s all good before sending it to anyone.

To be honest I believe the details of post #4 in this thread is holding up the sale.

The seemingly constant removal of the cylinder and random piston replacements is not normal for a saw that has “no issues whatsoever”

I wouldn’t disagree with that and that’s part of the reason I’m removing it from being sold. I started a thread about using rifle bore cameras on the workbench. I put the camera in this saw last night and saw some stuff that concerns me so I’m going to pull the cylinder and look with my eyes. The bore cameras take such good, close up images that it may be nothing and it may be catastrophic. FWIW when I pulled the golf and installed the meteor it was for peace of mind only and not due to any issue with the saw performance.
