140 on compression. Piston is clean
Not sure if the heated handlebar works I’ve only made a handful of cuts with it. Seems to be a solid saw but as I said I’ve only made a few cuts with it.

Starter cover has some buster fins at the front.
Missing paint on the front
Plastics scratches and faded.

300.00 plus the shipping. PHO

So is a 371 basically a 372 but not a strato engine ?

Can you check if the heating works?

Did you pull the cylinder and inspect everything or just peak through the port? Do you know the previous owner and their habits with chainsaws?


I'm interested, but 140psi isn't ideal, meaning more money may need to go into it. That's also a good sized gap on the recoil cover.

I could check it yes. I pulled the muffler and checked the piston, not going to pull the cylinder I see no need for that. 140 isn't that low for a Husqvarna. It could have a huge squish band in it, that's why u can pull the gasket and still have adequate squish on most Husqvarna's. Yes its a good sized gap that's why I pointed it out. Not trying to be a jerk but if it was a perfect saw I would be asking more than 300

You're not being a jerk. I'm not trying to be one either. I'm only asking valid questions as a consumer and someone who might be interested in the saw. You claim the piston is clean but only looked at a small portion of it through the port. 155-165+ would be ideal compression. Sure it's an older saw, but you have no idea how many hours are on it or how it was run and kept up. What caused a 15-25+ psi drop in pressure?

Regarding the recoil gap, it's large enough a rock could get in there and do damage to the flywheel/fins or wiring. Things happen. Sand or grit could have also gotten in and caused wear on the seal. Lots of possibilities with a gap that large.

With the 572 out now, 372s are getting cheaper. $300 + shipping is 1/3 or more of a new 372 PHO. If another $100 or more is required to get it in order, it'd be better suited for someone who has spare parts or is looking for a parts saw.

My concerns may not be the next person's.

$300 for a runner... a 70cc runner.... sounds like a reasonable asking price to me. As for hours on it...? Who cares if the compression is good. Most of the time the bearings outlast the piston and cylinder anyways so compression is a good judge.

This thing should sell.

I care, which is why I asked questions. If there are no answers it's not a big deal. To jump on me for asking questions seems pretty ridiculous. My money = my time, and I tend not to squander it. I know folks who have bought used, "runner" saws that run for 5-10 tanks then fail and aren't worth the money to repair them. If you guys are flush with cash, great for you. I'm not, therefore I have to be cautious and ask questions.
