I recently took apart my Husqvarna 455 rancher to rebuild a scored piston and cylinder. Despite this being my first time doing serious work on my chainsaw, everything went great! However, one of the videos I was referencing to help me with the work showed the installation of an upper and lower gasket between the carburetor and the air filter housing unit. I was very meticulous in the research as well as disassembly of my saw, and never came across these two gaskets.

So my question is, are they after market that some people chose to put into their saws as an added safety measure? Did I lose mine? Did it maybe never have those gaskets to begin with?

Below is the link to the video, and the gaskets are being installed at minute mark 21:50.

Thanks!
