Hello, so I bought a 575 xp for 110 with a scored cylinder
Not knowing how or why it burned up I tore it down
The bearings in the lower end felt knotchy
So I split the cases
The bearings has what looked like carbon or maybe burned sawdust
They cleaned up well in a ultrasonic cleaner
Anyways I have new bearings and seals on order
New top end and carb kit
When I was taking off the flywheel I broke the aluminium key off
Also I found the clutch was broken at the shoes
I ordered a new hustle 372 clutch and the shoes don’t fit
What’s wrong
I tried tapping one on and it broke the same as the original clutch
Wondering if the flywheel is going to slip also I don’t want to spend a fortune on a clutch

The key is for alignment. If you get the flywheel lined up and the nut torqued properly it won't move. I bought a clutch on eBay a while back for $20, it works fine. Oregon makes a good am clutch as well.

Make sure your clutch side bearing is set tight in case pocket. Known to spin in pocket and take your saw down. May need to use sleeve retainer.

I am worried about the bearing spinning as well
Was thinking about using a retainer compound as insurance
It’s on 07. I thought the issues were earlier

I have the case altogether now
one bearing was really hard to get in even with heat the other one just dropped in after heating and putting it in the freezer. should I be worried
